Auditions are held at Act3 Playhouse. Parents and friends are welcome to wait in our lobby or enjoy the great shopping and dining available in the Sandy Springs Plaza while you wait!

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

Based on the story by Washington Irving
Adapted by Kathryn Schultz Miller
A drama workshop for 3rd-8th graders
Directed by Michelle Davis

Washington Irving’s spooky Halloween classic tells the tale of Ichabod Crane who comes to the small, quiet town of Sleep Hollow, New York to be the new schoolmaster of the village, falls for the beautiful Katrina Van Tassel, and has the ride of his life one night chased by the town’s resident ghost, The Headless Horseman. This play contains all the chills, thrills, and laughs to keep any audience on the edge of their seats.

Auditions: August 13th & August 14th from 3pm-7pm

Encor3 Internship Auditions

ENCOR3, the company of student interns that brought Atlanta the Georgia premiere of bare: A Pop Opera, will hold auditions, by appointment, July 31 from 3-10 p.m. The company is open to high school and college students age 14-20. Please prepare either two one to two minute monologues OR one monologue and 16 bars of a song.

The 2014-15 ENCOR3 Season will consist of Revue 14-15 (a musical revue), a Pulitzer Prize-winning play, and a pop musical. In addition to performing, interns will assist in house/stage management of main stage and second stage shows and have the opportunity to take master classes in such areas as dance, acting, directing, design, stage management, public relations, marketing, budgeting/finances, resume building, and audition techniques.

Possibly French

An improvisational comedy troupe for middle and high school students is auditioning for new members. Students will learn short-form, scene-based improv, which stresses finding the relationship and moment shift. No experience necessary. Just a good attitude and a desire to have fun and learn. Directed by Liane LeMaster

Auditions: Sunday, Sept. 7 from 6-8pm
Rehearsals: Most Sundays from 6-7:30 pm, Sept 14- Dec 1
(No rehearsal Oct. 5 & Oct. 26, Nov. 2 & Nov. 23)
Show Dates: Saturday, Oct 25th 3pm and Saturday, Dec 6 at 7pm

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever!

A main stage holiday production for adults and youth (which rehearses in the evening), plus a separate children’s workshop for K-5 (which rehearses in the late afternoons). Both casts join together during the last week of rehearsal and performances to present this heart-warming holiday classic.
